Prairie Artisan Ales is celebrating its 3rd Anniversary by releasing a new beer based off of one of its first beers.
The Tulsa, Okla.-based brewery will be releasing 3rd Anniversary Ale, an 8 percent ABV farmhouse ale brewed with raspberries. According to Wesley Morrison, brand ambassador for Prairie, the new beer is based off of the brewery’s Praiaire Ale (8.2 percent ABV) which is brewed with pilsner malt, wheat malt, flaked malt as well as saaz hops and was first released in 2012.
This is the second anniversary beer that Prairie has brewed, after 2nd Anniversary (7 percent ABV), which consisted of Prairie Ale aged in Chardonnay wine barrels, was released in 2013. Prairie officially opened its doors in October 2012.
According to Morrison, 3rd Anniversary Ale will be packaged in 500ml bottles as well as “a small run” of 3L bottles, and will be available in “most major markets” in mid-Septmember.
