One of Portland, Oregon’s oldest breweries is closing its doors forever next month.
In a post on its Facebook page, Portland Brewing announced its decision to close permanently in “early February.” The brewery opened its doors for the first time in 1986.
“Over 34 years, we have made lots of interesting and creative beers that showcase the heart and soul of our brewers”, reads a post on the brewery’s Facebook page. “We have had the privilege to work with many great people…and we’ve served plenty of thirsty and loyal beer drinkers. Thank you to all those who have supported Portland Brewing Co. and been with us for so long.”
In early 2018, Portland Brewing closed its restaurant located in Northwest Portland in order to focus on producing beer, citing a “challenging restaurant market” as the main reason.
