This past Saturday, Dallas-based Peticolas Brewing Co. released its Irish Goodbye during a brewery tour.

Irish Goodbye is an Irish red ale with a 6.5 percent ABV and 27 IBU. It has been released for St. Patrick’s Day for the past three years.

“It is a beautiful copper red in color with low fruity-ester aroma accompanied by a rocky dense off white head,” according to Peticolas’ website. “Candy like malt sweetness is enhanced by a subtle degree of roasted malt that brings a level of complexity to nice even keeled hop flavor and bitterness.”

Irish Goodbye took home awards from the US Open Beer Championship in both 2014 and 2015 in the Irish Red Ale category. It started shipping out yesterday, and will be available on draft throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
