Terrapin Beer Co.’s president and co-founder John Cochran visited Persimmon Hollow Brewing in DeLand, Fla. on Monday to brew a collaboration beer.

Named Holler Helper, the 9.2 percent ABV Belgian golden ale is brewed with apollo, cascade, chinoon, ahtanum, simcoe and zythos hops along with four different kinds of malts and light Belgian candi sugar to help increase alcohol content.

According to Terrapin, Holler Helper will be released first in 1/6 BBL kegs during Volusia Beer Week, which takes place from Jan. 30-Feb. 8, 2015 in DeLand, Fla. Starting Feb. 5, the beer will then be packaged in 22-ounce bottles that will only be sold in Persimmon Hollow’s tasting and then will be available on draft throughout the brewery’s distribution network after that.

Persimmon Hollow Brewing opened its doors in October of this year.
