The newest incarnation of one of Perennial Artisan Ales most popular barrel-aged beers is being released tomorrow.

Barrel-Aged Sump 2019 is a 13 percent ABV imperial stout aged for 12-18 months in rye whiskey barrels before being conditioned on Colombia La Virgen beans roasted by St. Louis, Mo.-based Sump Coffee Roasters.

As the name indicates, the barrel-aged stout uses Perennial’s Sump imperial stout as its base and was first released in bottles in 2013.

According to a post on Perennial’s Facebook page, Barrel-Aged Sump 2019 will be packaged in 750ml bottles ($40) and will have a purchase limit based on turnout when it is released at the brewery on Jan. 10.
