Pelican Brewing Co. will be bottling a double IPA that is an “homage to aromatic innovation.”
The beer is Beak Breaker, a 9.5 percent ABV double IPA brewed with centennial, Citra and Mosaic hops. The IPA will be shown off at the Bend Brewfest talking place from Aug. 18 – Aug. 20 in Bend, Ore.
“What to hopheads love about hops?” reads the label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB.) “Great big punchy aromas. At Pelican Brewing we’ve been packing hop aroma into beer for over 20 years. Beak Breaker is our newest homage to aromatic innovation.”
According to the beer label, Beak Breaker will be packaged in 12- and 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the Tillamook, Ore.-based brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
