A new Oskar Blues Brewery IPA shipping to retailers has noticeably fewer calories than most of the brewery’s other creations.

One-y 100 Calorie Hazy IPA is a 4 percent ABV IPA brewed with French Aramis and Mosaic hops in the whirlpool and dry-hopped with Citra, Comet and El Dorado hops before being canned. As the name suggests, the new IPA comes in at only 100 calories per 12-ounce can and is being added to the Longmont, Colo.-based brewery’s year-round lineup.

“The aroma hits you first. There are notes of citrus, honeysuckle, peach and mango,” said Juice Drapeau, head brewer at Oskar Blues Pilot Brewery in Lyons, Colo., in a press release. “The beer is fruity with a hop haze and a nice biscuit flavor to the malt. The use of pale ale malt and wheat, along with the hefty dry hop load, creates a medium body. It’s easy to drink – pairs well with breakfast, lunch, or dinner.”

According to Oskar Blues, One-y 100 Calorie Hazy IPA is packaged in six- and 12-packs of 12-ounce cans that are shipping to retailers across the brewery’s entire distribution network now.
