Fans wanting to purchase Oskar Blues Brewery’s most famous seasonal release will only have to wait a couple more days.
Later this week, the Longmont, Colo.-base brewery will be releasing Ten FIDY 2019, a 10.5 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with caramel malt, Munich malt, roasted barley, flaked oats and hops. The stout was first brewed in 2007.
“The sweetness aims at being mouth-coating but not stomach-coating,” said Tim Matthews, head of brewing operations at Oskar Blues, in a press release. “It has all the robust flavor without the excessive sugar that other imperial stouts have.”
In addition, earlier this year the Longmont, Colo.-based brewery has filed a label for new 12-ounce cans of its Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY, a 12.9 percent ABV imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels.
According to Oskar Blues, Ten FIDY 2019 will be packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce cans and is scheduled to be released during events being held at its taprooms in Longmont, Colo., Boulder, Colo., Austin, Texas and Brevard, N.C. on Sept. 14. Cans will also be shipping to retailers throughout the brewery’s distribution network.
