According to a press release directly from Longmont, CO-based Oskar Blues Brewery, a new beer will soon be released with part of the proceeds going to a great cause.

Oskar Blues announced a brand-new beer, S.M.A.S.H. for Stache, a 6.9 percent ABV IPA. Featuring a heavy dose of Sabro hops, this double dry-hopped ale’s name stands for “single malt and single hop” and it will be released on draft, in crowlers, as well as 6-packs of 12-ounce cans. Part of the proceeds from the beer will benefit StachStrong, an organization that raises funds for brain cancer research.

Oskar Blues Head Brewer Juice Drapeau said, “We’ve been brewing SMaSH beers over the last four years as a way to R&D new hop varieties to see how they translate in a finished product. The Sabro Hop variety was a huge hit with staff and a fan favorite so we decided to rock this out for our friends at StacheStrong.”

S.M.A.S.H. for Stache will be released on May 1 at the brewery’s four taprooms in Longmont, CO; Boulder, CO; Brevard, NC; and Austin, TX.
