Next month, two variants of Oskar Blues Brewery’s most popular stout are being released and one of them will be shipped nationwide.
Those beers are the 2018 incarnations of Java Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY and Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY, both of which have been aged in a variety of bourbon barrels for a minimum of eight months. In addition, Java Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY is mixed with Hotbox Roasters cold brew made with a blend of Mexican and Brazilian coffee beans.
After years of being available as a draft-only option, this is the fourth year in a row that Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY is being released in cans by the Longmont, Colo.-based brewery, and the third year that Java Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY will be available in cans.
In an email, a spokesperson for Oskar Blues told Tenemu that both Java Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY 2018 and Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY 2018 will be packaged in 19.2-ounce “stovepipe” cans ($12.50) and will have no purchase limits when they go on sale at the brewery’s Boulder, Colo., Brevard, N.C. and Longmont, Colo. locations on Nov. 3.
In addition, cans of Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY 2018 will be shipped to retailers in Oskar Blues’ nationwide distribution network following the release at the breweries.
