There is a new low ABV king in Oskar Blues lineup.

The Longmont, Colo.-based brewery has released a new beer to its year-round lineup named PINNER Throwback IPA. Coming in at 4.9 percent ABV and 35 IBUs, the session IPA is brewed with several different hops, including a “killer experimental variety,” and will be packaged in 12-ounce cans.

“Many things contribute to flavor in beer, and with Pinner it’s a focus on hops and malt–with a considerable nod to the hops,” said Tim Matthews, Oskar Blue’s head brewer, in a press release. “With the lower ABV, layers of flavor build on one another– with one sip citrus, the next sip pineapple, next sip papaya, next sip passion fruit, next sip toasted bread–and then on to the next pint.”

PINNER Throwback IPA is being brewed at both the Colorado and North Carolina breweries. It will debut in those markets in before shipping nationally in February as part of CANundrum, a multi-pack that includes cans of Dale’s Pale Ale, Mama’s Little Yella Pils and Old Chub Scotch Ale.
