A new joint effort teaming Oskar Blues Brewery and High Alpine Brewing Co. was brewed to celebrate an craft beer occasion that is celebrated around the world.

Double Sweater & Silk Pajamas is a 10.7 percent ABV creation made up of two different imperial stouts: the first stout was aged in a combination of first fill casks that previously held XO Cognac, Ruby port and petit syrah wine with wine lees and grape juice; while the second stout was brewed with “loads of malt.” The blended stout was then cold-aged in steel vessels for 18 months before being packaged.

The new barrel-aged stout was a brewed in collaboration with Gunnison, Colo.-based High Alpine Brewing to commemorate International Stout Day, which is celebrated on the first Thursday in November each year.
