Fans of Oskar Blues Brewery’s most popular barrel-aged stout may soon be able to enjoy it in smaller cans.
That is because the Longmont, Colo.-based brewery has filed a label with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) for 12-ounce cans of its Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY, a 12.9 percent ABV imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels. After years of being available as a draft-only option, the barrel-aged stout debuted in 19.2-ounce cans in 2015 and has been released every year in the packaging option since then.
Oskar Blues has sold a number of Ten FIDY variants over the years, including Java Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY, Rum Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY and JAHvanilla Ten FIDY 2019, the latter of which was most recently released as a taproom exclusive on April 20.
An email sent to the brewery for additional release and distribution information was not immediately returned.
