A brand new barrel-aged imperial stout may be on the way from Oskar Blues Brewery.
The Longmont, Colo.-based brewery is working on releasing Incanity, a 12.5 percent ABV imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with toasted almonds and vanilla beans. According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the new release will be packaged in 12-ounce cans.
While Oskar Blues has released variants of its popular Ten FIDY barrel-aged stout conditioned on various nuts and vanilla before, this is the first time the brewery has canned a barrel-aged stout with the combination of toasted almonds and vanilla.
