Bad news? Brewery Ommegang’s Art of Darkness is gone. Good news? It’s back.

The Cooperstown, N.Y.-based brewery has begun producing batches of its Art of Darkness recipe under a new name, Soothsayer.

The 8.9 percent ABV Belgian-style dark brew is also getting a new look to go along with the new name. While Ommegang isn’t saying which specific beer it is, there’s another beer with a similar name that was brewed first. Of note, The Bruery’s Tart of Darkness.

Soothsayer is brewed with a variety of barley malts, wheat malts, flaked oats and dextrose, and hopped with Spalter Select and Styrian Golding. Signature house yeast in both primary and secondary fermentation.
According to the brewery, Soothsayer has a smooth mouthfeel, a full body, and soft carbonation.

It is available both on draft and in 750ml bottles. Soothsayer is being distributed across Ommegang’s entire distribution network.
