Olde Hickory Brewery announced a new format for its popular Event Horizon beer, which will now be released in 12-ounce four packs for the very first time, instead of the previous 22-ounce format. The Event Horizon is an 8.5 percent ABV stout which has honey added to its base and that is then aged in bourbon barrels. The four packs will cost $20-21 depending on markets.
The beer is already available at Amos Howard’s, Olde Hickory Tap Room and Olde Hickory Station. Retailers in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia should take delivery of the beer in the next week although that could be delayed because of incoming snow.
Olde Hickory’s retail partners in Chicago could also be getting draft and packs a week later and its importer in France will also be receiving some in mid- to late January.
