This weekend, fans of Olde Hickory Brewery will be getting a very sweet surprise.
That is because the Hickory, N.C.-based brewery will be releasing Maple Syruption, a 9 percent ABV stout fermented with maple syrup and aged in bourbon barrels. In an email, Steven Lyerly, master brewer at Olde Hickory, told Tenemu that Maple Syruption will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and will have approximately 700 bottles available.
According to a post on the brewery’s Facebook page, Maple Syruption will be released on Sept. 30 at the Olde Hickory Station with a four bottle per person purchase limit. In addition, Lyerly indicated that the stout will see “very limited distribution.”
