A popular release in 2016 from Odell Brewing Co. will be returning this fall.
Jolly Russian is a 13.3 percent ABV Russian imperial stout that has been aged in rum barrels and packaged 12-ounce bottles. The stout debuted two years ago during an event at the brewery on Sept. 30 and featured a two bottle per person purchase limit before heading to retailers across the Fort Collins, Colo.-based brewery’s 13-state distribution footprint.
However, unlike the first incarnation, this year’s version of Jolly Russian will be part of Odell’s Cellar Series, which is made up of beers that can be aged for long periods of time.
According to a post on Odell’s website, Jolly Russian 2018 will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles that are scheduled to be released in September.
