Odell Brewing Co.’s newest release is inspired by the wilderness of its home state.

Rawah is a 6.8 percent ABV IPA brewed with rye. The new beer is part of the Fort Collins, Colo.-based brewery’s Roots Release series, which is inspired by its small-batch pilot system and “honors our experimental roots.”

“Meaning ‘wild place’, the Rawah (Ray-wa) wilderness of Colorado is a diverse and complex region,” reads the beer label. “Rawah Rye IPA balances a slightly spicy malt base with a bright and fruity hop character.”

In addition to Rawah Rye IPA, the Roots Release series includes Gramps oatmeal stout (6.4 percent ABV), Wolf Picker pale ale (5.5 percent ABV) and Perle White IPA (5.5 percent ABV).

According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the new beer will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional details was not immediately returned.
