After brewing a beer to taste like root beer, Small Town Brewery is at it again, this time with a different classic drink.
According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the brewery will be releasing Not Your Father’s Ginger Ale, a 5.9 percent ABV “ale brewed with ginger.” The Wauconda, Ill.-based brewery was founded by Tim Kovac in 2010, who had been home brewing for over two decades.
The beer is now on its way to stores in 40 states with nationwide distribution targeted for February.
“We’re finding that consumers are looking for new and innovative brews within the craft beer category,” said Etienne Houseknecht, marketing director at Small Town Brewery, in a press release. “Gruit-inspired ales are Small Town’s answer to this market need, and we are proud to be leading the creation of a new botanical craft beer segment.”
Not Your Father’s Ginger Ale will be packaged in 12-ounce cans and 12-ounce bottles. Pricing is expected to be around $10.99 per six-pack.
Small Town Brewery has a distribution agreement with Pabst Brewing Co.
