For the second year in a row, No Label Brewing Co. will be releasing Perpetual Peace.

As with last year’s release, the 2015 incarnation of Perpetual Peace is a wee heavy that has been aged in bourbon barrels before being bottled. While last year’s incarnation came in at 11.6 percent ABV and was aged in Wild Turkey Select bourbon barrels, the newest version spent five months aging in Old Forrester barrels.

Perpetual Peace is part of the Katy, Texas-based brewery’s Off Label Series, which also includes Boomstick (7.4 percent ABV), a rye coffee IPA,  and Nightmare on 1st Street (9.3 percent ABV), an imperial amber ale brewed with pumpkin and spices. The wee heavy was first released in 2013 as a draft-only option before being bottled for the first time in 2014.

According to Jennifer Royo, co-founder at No Label, there will be an estimated 4,800 bottles when Perpetual Peace is scheduled to be released the week of December 14.
