According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Ninkasi Brewing Co. will be releasing Pacific Rain, a 5.4 percent ABV “northwest pale” that is brewed with water from Oregon’s McKenzie River as well as Citra, Mosaic, nugget and Simcoe hops. The northwest pale description has been used by the Eugene, Ore.-based brewery before, most notably in its Radiant (6 percent ABV) and N.W.A. (6 percent ABV), among others.
“Fiercely flavorful and refreshingly drinkable, Pacific Rain is your call to experience the Pacific Northwest,” reads the beer label. “Easy-drinking and best enjoyed anytime the whistle blows.”
According to the labels, Pacfic Rain will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
