Karbach Brewing Co., has shipped its fourteenth release in the F.U.N. series of barrel-aged beers named Roll in the Hay.
Coming in at 7.5 percent ABV, the newest version uses the Houston, Texas-based brewery’s Barn Burner Saison (6.7 percent ABV) as a base beer before aging it in chardonnay wine barrels for six months. This is the second time that Roll in the Hay has been released after it debuted in June 2013 as the fourth entry of the F.U.N. series, which is the brewery’s barrel-aging program.
Earlier this month, Karbach was purchased by Anheuser-Busch InBev and will join the company’s The High End unit, which also includes the Shock Top and Stella Artois brands alongside the nine other craft brands.
According to David Graham, marketing and promotions at Karbach, 014 Roll in the Hay is packaged in 22-ounce bottles and is being released to retailers across the brewery’s distribution network starting today.
