Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
New Holland Brewing has announced that Amy Kenny, who currently serves as the company’s chief financial officer, will now be taking on the additional role of chief operating officer.
“As New Holland continues to grow, we are aware that we need a level of foresight when it comes to our financial and strategic planning,” said Brett VanderKamp, president and co-founder of New Holland, in a press release. “Amy has provided us with exceptional direction in her role as CFO and has the expertise to usher us through this time of key development.”
Kenny’s new position will include oversight over “financial, human resources and operational leadership, with focus on several key capital projects.” Kenny has been the Holland, Mich.-based brewery’s cfo since 2012. Previously, she was the cfo of JB Laboratories, also located in Holland, before becoming an independent financial consultant for the brewery in 2008.
“I believe in New Holland as a brand and am devoted to its success,” said Kenny. “In my new dual role, my focus will be on providing leadership and project management to ensure that we have the resources and processes to support our anticipated growth. It has always been my desire to be more than a scorekeeper for the company. This new role formalizes my involvement with strategic management and I am excited about the direction of the company and the team that we have in place to continue both growing and yet maintaining our devotion to the craft lifestyle.”
This is the second management change New Holland has announced in as many months. In October, the brewery named Adam Lambert, formerly of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, as its new vp of sales. In addition, the company announced a new location in Grand Rapids that will open in 2016. It will serve as a brewpub, “micro-distillery” and restaurant.
