A new variant of New Holland Brewing Co.’s Dragon Milk’s Reserve that is being released next week would be best enjoyed on a deserted island.
The beer is Dragon’s Milk Reserve Banana Coconut, an 11 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with real banana and “natural flavors” before being aged in bourbon barrels.
The new stout incorporates the New Holland, Mich.-based brewery’s Dragon’s Milk Imperial Stout as its base, and will join a multitude of other variants, including Dragon’s Milk Reserve Mexican Spice Cake, Dragon’s Milk Reserve Raspberry Lemon and Dragon’s Milk Reserve with Coffee & Chocolate. All of the aforementioned beers are listed at 11 percent ABV.
According to a post on New Holland’s Facebook page, Dragon’s Milk Reserve Banana Coconut will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles that are scheduled to be released at the brewery’s pub locations next week. Bottles are then expected to ship to retailers in New Holland’s distribution network “shortly after.”
