A former limited release for New Glarus Brewing Co. is now shipping to retailers.
The beer in question is Strawberry Rhubarb, a 4 percent ABV wild fruit beer brewed with strawberries and local rhubarb. The fruit beer debuted in the summer 2013 but was discontinued in early 2015 and has historically been packaged in 750ml bottles.
That changed in November 2017, when the ale was added to the brewery’s Thumbprint Series of seasonal releases, all of which are sold in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles.
According to a post on New Glarus’ Instagram page, the newest incarnation of Strawberry Rhubarb is now shipping to retailers across the state of Wisconsin. In addition, while beers have also historically been available for sale at the brewery, New Glarus Brewing Co. is currently closed “through the summer” due to the coronavirus pandemic.
