Fans found out last month what New Glarus Brewing Co. would be releasing in the first quarter of the year, and now the first release in the brewery’s Thumbprint Series is hitting shelves.

That beer is Flanders Sour Red Ale 2019, a spontaneously fermented Flanders-style red ale blended from “young and three year-old stock.” The ale is the latest release in the New Glarus, Wis.-based brewery’s Thumbprint Series, which is made of up beers that head brewer Dan Carey brews at various times each year.

According to a post on New Glarus’ Instagram page, Flanders Sour Red Ale 2019 is packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles that are being shipped to retailers across the state of Wisconsin now.
