With no advance warning, New Glarus Brewing Co. has rereleased one if its most popular beers.

As with previous versions, Cran-bic is a lambic-style ale brewed with locally-grown cranberries and aged in oak barrels. The beer was first released in 2009 as part of the New Glarus, Wis.-based brewery’s Unplugged Series, but has since been sold multiple times under the Thumbprint Series, with the last release coming in late 2014.

According to a spokesperson at New Glarus, four-packs of 12-ounce bottles of the newest incarnation of Cran-bic began shipping to retailers in Wisconsin yesterday.
