New Glarus Brewing Co. is releasing the last of its seasonal releases for 2018: Fat Squirrel.

Fat Squirrel is a beer inspired by co-owner brewmaster Dan Carey as he “walked home from the brewery, sat down to dinner and said, ‘Boy, there are some fat squirrels out there. They’re running all over the place. I think I should brew a Fat Squirrel Nut Brown Ale.'” His wife and co-owner Deborah Carey agreed and another beer was born.

This conditioned unfiltered ale is brewed with six different Wisconsin malts, hops from Slovenia, Bavaria and the Pacific Northwest.

According to the New Glarus Instagram page it is now available in its brewery and will be available in 12-pack boxes when it gets distributed this week.
