This year is New Glarus Brewing Co.’s 25th Anniversary and the brewery will be celebrating “twenty-five years of survival” by releasing a brand new beer for fans as part of its most popular series.
25th Anniversary Ale is an 11.5 percent ABV Belgian-style quadruple brewed English and German malted barley as well as Austrian hops, Belgian candy sugar, Belgian yeast and maple syrup sourced from Maple Sweet Dairy. This is the second time that the New Glarus, Wis.-based brewery has released an anniversary beer after Anniversary Strong Ale was released in 2013 to commemorate its 15th year in business.
The new beer is the first release in the brewery’s R&D Series to be sold this year, a series that has historically included three different beers released over a period of approximately four months.
According to a post on New Glarus’ Facebook page, R&D 25th Anniversary Ale will be packaged in 500ml bottles ($15) with a four bottle per person per day limit and will be available at New Glarus starting on June 8.
