A new pilsner from New Glarus Brewing Co. is named after the hops that it is brewed with.

Mistral is Bohemian-style pilsner brewed exclusively with Mistral hops, which is a new varietal developed by the Institute of Hop Research and Brewing in Alsace, France. The new release is part of New Glarus’ Thumbprint Series, which is made of up beers that head brewer Dan Carey brews at various times each year.

According to a spokesperson for the New Glarus, Wis.-based brewery, Mistral is packaged in four packs of 12-ounce bottles ($12.50) and is available now exclusively at the brewery with no purchase limits.
