This month, New Belgium Brewing Co. will ship its annual release of a beer named after the French term meaning of the earth.

The beer is Le Terroir, a 7.5 percent ABV “wood-aged pale sour ale” brewed with lager yeast and nugget hops before being dry-hopped with Amarillo and Galaxy hops. The sour ale has been released by the Fort Collins, Colo.-based brewery every year in some form since 2004.

According to a press release, Le Terroir will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and is scheduled to be available at retailers across New Belgium’s distribution network starting on Aug. 29.
