New Belgium Brewing will be adding Kentucky to its distribution footprint starting on March 2, a move that will expand the Fort Collins, Colo.-based brewery’s distribution network to 38 states. A multitude of distributers will be used within the state, including Eagle Distributing Company, Golden Eagle Distributing, J.B. Distributors, Inc., Bud of Hopkinsville (Hand Family, LLC), Kentucky Eagle, Inc., Perry Distributors, Inc., River City Distributing, Smith Brothers Distributing Company, Stagnaro Distributing, Edward Utley Jr., Inc. and Heidelberg of Northern Kentucky.

“We’ve been eyeing Kentucky for quite a while, so it’s exciting to officially open up the state,” said Brian Krueger, New Belgium’s sales co-pilot, in a press release. “The glory of college basketball is upon us and the Derby isn’t too far off, so we’re arriving at a pretty fun time in the state.”

According to a press release, Fat Tire amber ale (5.2 percent ABV), Ranger IPA (6.5 percent ABV), Slow Ride Session IPA (4.5 percent ABV) and Snapshot Wheat (5 percent ABV) will be available immediately, with seasonal releases, Rampant Imperial IPA (8.5 percent ABV), Trippel Belgian-Style Ale (7.8 percent ABV) and variety packs available when they are released.
