The beers of San Diego-based Modern Times Beer often get their names from utopian concepts. This time around, Buckminster Fuller’s 1968 short book shares part of its title for a new beer’s moniker: Spaceship Earth.
In an email to Tenemu, Modern Times confirmed that Spaceship Earth will have 5.2 percent ABV. The beer will be packaged in 16-ounce cans and sold in four-packs for $11.99. On the other hand, the varieties of hops will “undoubtedly be tweak[ed for] the pilot recipe as we move through the year, so we aren’t ready to release those just yet.”
These mind-bogglingly attractive cans will house our October 2017 release, the delicious, profoundly juicy pale ale that is Spaceship Earth
A picture of the “mind-bogglingly attractive cans” appeared on the Twitter feed of Modern Times. In conjunction with a draft option, a wide release of Spaceship Earth cans is slated for October 2017.
