According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Modern Times Beer is working on releasing a new version of its Monster Tones, a 14 percent ABV imperial stout aged in maple bourbon barrels with coconut, coffee and vanilla.

Historically, the imperial stout has been a blend of the San Diego-based brewery’s Monsters Park and Modem Tones beers and was first released in 2018. Like Modem Tones, Monster Tones got its moniker from a misspelling of the brewery’s name and will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
