Another brewery has closed one of its locations due to complications arising from the coronavirus.

Mikkeller Brewing has announced it is permanently closing its New York City facility that has been located inside of Citi Field, since there are “no foreseeable customers” who will be attending games at the ballpark. As a result, Mikkeller has decided to consolidate its New York City location with its San Diego brewery.

“Thank you for your support over the past two and a half years; we are extremely grateful to have been part of the New York brewing community, and to have had the opportunity to present our beers in this incredible location,” reads a post on the brewery’s Facebook page. “We loved our time in Citi Field and wish everyone the best during this difficult time.”

When Mikkeller opened the 10,000-square-foot facility on March 25, 2018, it began functioning as a combination of brewery, bar, and restaurant that included 60 rotating taps. The stadium location was not only Mikkeller’s first U.S. location after its San Diego facility, but also its 32nd location worldwide.
