Earlier this summer, Mikerphone Brewing Co. produced a vanilla variant of one of its most popular stouts and now it is maple syrup’s time to shine.
According to post on the Elk Grove Village, Ill.-based brewery’s Facebook page, it has brewed new variant named Imperial Smells Like Bean Spirit Double Maple incorporates not only Vermont maple syrup, but also Mandehling Sumatra coffee from Tugboat Coffee of Addison, Ill. The 10.5 percent ABV stout is the third version to be released by Mikerphone after the original Imperial Smells Like Bean Spirit (10 percent ABV) and Vanilla Imperial Smells Like Bean Spirit (10.5 percent ABV.)
In the Facebook post, Mikerphone indicates that Imperial Smells Like Bean Spirit Double Maple will be packaged in 750ml bottles and is expected to arrive “around Thanksgiving.”
An email sent to Mikerphone seeking additional detail was not immediately returned.
