This month, people in Connecticut and Vermont will be able to buy Lawson’s Finest Liquids Sip of Sunshine IPA in some local stores.

The Warren, Vt.-based brewery announced via press release that due to an increase in brewing capacity, its Sip of Sunshine IPA would not only be distributed to more stores in Vermont, but will also be available in Connecticut for the first time, through Hartford Distributors, Inc. The 8 percent ABV IPA is brewed at Two Roads Brewing Co. in Stratford, Conn. In addition to the distribution expansion, Lawson’s indicated that it was phasing out the 22-ounce bottles that Sip of Sunshine is currently using, to be replaced by four packs of 16-ounce cans.

“The journey to cans has been a long one, and I am thrilled to finally offer some of our beer in a lightweight, ultra portable package,” said Sean Lawson, the company’s founder and brewmaster, in a press release. “More importantly, I can finally say ‘Yes, we can!’ to our fans in Connecticut where Sip of Sunshine IPA is brewed and also offer more of our beer to additional stores in Vermont.”

In Connecticut, Sip of Sunshine will be available on draft at select locations starting “around” Dec. 12, with the rest of the state getting cans in limited amounts soon after. In Vermont, the brewery will be able to add retail accounts to its current distribution network in the greater Burlington area, the Mad River Valley, Montpelier and Waterbury, with deliveries starting on Dec. 18.
