For fans of Lakewood Brewing Co.’s Temptress who have been clamoring for the variants to be bottled, at least one wait is about to be over.

The Garland, Texas-based brewery will be releasing its Raspberry Temptress imperial milk stout in 22-ounce bottles for the first time next month. Coming in at 9.1 percent ABV, the beer is brewed with lactose sugar, vanilla and fresh raspberries from Oregon and will be on shelves just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Lakewood Raspberry Temptress Bottles

It’s part of the Seduction Series, variations of Lakewood’s Temptress milk stout that use different adjuncts to enhance the flavors of the base beer. While they have been draft-only in the past, Lakewood told Tenemu that four different Seduction Series beers are scheduled to be released in bottles this year: Raspberry Temptress; Mole Temptress in the second quarter; French Quarter Temptress in the third quarter and Sin Mint Temptress in the fourth quarter. In addition, Bourbon Barrel Temptress, which is not a part of the Seduction Series, is scheduled to return in December as well.

The bottle art for the Raspberry Temptress was created by Nathan Walker from All The Pretty Colors, who also was enlisted to design the bottles for last year’s collaboration between Lakewood and Rahr & Sons Brewing Co., DFW: A Collaboration of Two Breweries. Walker will continue to work with Lakewood on the remaining three bottles in the Seduction Series to be released this year.

According to the brewery, Raspberry Temptress will be released on draft and in 22-ounce bottles ($13) and will start shipping exclusively to retailers in the North Texas area the week of Feb. 9. Approximately 9,800 bottles of Raspberry Temptress will be released, about double then number of bottles that were produced for the December release of Bourbon Barrel Temptress.
