One of Lakewood Brewing Co.’s most popular Temptress variants is being shipped next week, about five months earlier than previous releases.
The Garland, Texas based-brewery’s French Quarter Temptress 2018 is a 9.1 percent ABV imperial milk stout brewed with lactose and vanilla that incorporates Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters coffee beans and chicory into the blend. As in the past, the coffee beans were aged in bourbon barrels before the stout was conditioned on them.
French Quarter Temptress is part of the Seduction Series, variations of Lakewood’s Temptress milk stout that use different adjuncts to enhance the flavors of the base beer. However, the brewery’s 2018 release calendar features some major changes to the line: not only is French Quarter Temptress being released in January as opposed to in the summer as has historically been the case, but Lakewood is retiring Raspberry Temptress, Mole Temptress and Sin Mint Temptress and replacing them with two new to be announced variants in the series that will be shipped in August and November.
According to a post on Lakewood’s Facebook page, French Quarter Temptress 2018 will be packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles that are scheduled to begin shipping across the brewery’s distribution footprint next week.
