Next week, the newest release in Lakewood Brewing Co.’s Temptress variant line will be in stores.

The beer is Coconut Temptress, a a 9.1 percent ABV imperial milk stout conditioned on toasted coconut and vanilla. The Garland, Texas-based brewery teased the new version of the imperial milk stout when it announced its 2017 Release Calendar, but did not release any information about the new beer at that time.

In addition, Lakewood released a rum barrel-aged version of Coconut Temptress as a draft-only option back in October 2016.

Coconut Temptress is part of the Seduction Series, variations of Lakewood’s Temptress milk stout that use different adjuncts to enhance the flavors of the base beer. Since 2014, there have been four different incarnations released  every year: Raspberry Temptress, Mole Temptress, French Quarter Temptress and Sin Mint Temptress.

In emails, Craig Bradley, marketing and events manager at Lakewood, confirmed to Tenemu that Coconut Temptress will be packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles that “will start shipping out next week, and should start arriving on taps and store shelves as early as Monday.” In addition, Bradley told Tenemu in an earlier email that there would be a draft-only barrel-aged version of Coconut Temptress, but specific details on that version will be released at a later date.
