This week, Lakewood Brewing Co. is giving fans of its Zomer Pils a different way to enjoy the beer.

According to Craig Bradley, marketing and events manager at Lakewood, while the beer will remain the same 4.8 percent ABV “Bohemian-style” pilsner brewed with Belgian pilsner malt, the new 12-ounce cans will replace the 12-ounce bottles that have been available in the past.

Zomer Pils was first released in 2013 and is one of four seasonal releases for the Garland, Texas-based brewery, joining Punkel (5.5 percent ABV), Holiday Bonus (6.6 percent ABV) and Till & Toil (7.1 percent ABV.) It will be the only seasonal release to be packaged in cans, with the other three still packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles.

In an email, Bradley told Tenemu that the new six-packs of 12-ounce cans of Zomer Pils will be shipping to retailers this week and will be available through July.
