Lakewood Brewing Co. has shipped not one, but two brand new barrel-aged beers for fans this week.

First up is Grand Allowance, a 12.8 percent ABV chardonnay barrel-aged wheat wine-style ale. The new beer is not only the ninth Legendary Series release for the Garland, Texas-based brewery, but also the second of the 3 Fates Series, which also includes the already released Threadspinner, a 13.5 percent ABV bourbon barrel-aged barleywine and Grim Shearer, a rye wine-style ale aged in rye whiskey barrels.

The second new release from Lakewood is 2017 Red Wine Barrel Till & Toil, an 8.2 percent ABV Belgian-style saison that has been aged in red wine barrels sourced from California for “upwards of a year.” The saison was released as a draft-only option in 2013, and is packaged for the first time in 22-ounce bottles.

According to Lakewood, both Grand Allowance and Red Wine Barrel-Aged Till & Toil are shipping to retailers across the brewery’s distribution network now.
