Lakewood Brewing Co. of Garland, Texas and Marshall Brewing Co. of Tulsa Okla. participated in the 2017 edition of The Hop Jam Festival that took place on May 21. The festival, now in its fourth year, supports the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

On May 19, ahead of the festivities, Lakewood and Marshall got together to brew a collaboration effort at Elgin Park Brewery according to a Facebook post. The Elgin Park facility features a restaurant as well as “new seven-barrel brewing system that was custom built in Portland, Oregon.”

In an email to Tenemu “The style is a rye saison with pink and white peppercorns, Chinook hops, re-fermented on lemons that have been smoked over BBT barrel staves” said Craig Bradley Creative Director at Lakewood. The beer will be roughly 4 percent ABV and reach 25 IBU’s.

The beer is expected to be a draft-only release that will “definitely” include Elgin Park.
