One of Lagunitas Brewing Co.’s freshest beers is shipping to retailers now.

As with previous incarnations, Born Yesterday 2018 is a 7 percent ABV unfiltered pale ale brewed with 11 pounds perbarrel of Citra, Mosaic, Indigenous Catawampus and Simcoe hops. The pale ale was first introduced by the Petaluma, Calif.-based brewery in 2014, but that version was brewed with Amarillo, Equinox and Mosaic hops.

The pale ale is meant to be enjoyed fresh, and in the past Lagunitas has done its best to facilitate that by brewing the beer the day after the hops are picked, then shipping the beer out of the brewery’s Chicago and Petaluma facilities the next day.

“With the Born Yesterday we use those freshie fresh hops right from Yakima Valley then delivered to you as fast as a human possibly can,“ reads comments on Lagunitas’ Instagram page. “(Bottles are) literally rolling out… on trucks right now, and they are haulin’ as quick as humanly possible.”

According to a post on Lagunitas’ Instagram page, Born Again 2018 is packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and began shipping to retailers across the brewery’s distribution network today.
