Strawberry fields might not be forever, but they are one of the key ingredients in La Cumbre Brewing’s newest beer.
The Albuquerque, N.M.-based brewery will be releasing Strawberry Gose, a 5 percent ABV gose that is brewed with malted barley, wheat, hops, corriander, kosher salt, lactobacillus, yeast and strawberries. While this will be a one time release for now, Jeff Erway, president of La Cumbre told Tenemu that there is a good possibility that it will become a seasonal release if it is received well.
“We can’t think of a better way to bring in Summer than with a refreshing new tap and bottle release,” reads a post on the brewery’s Facebook page. “The subtle saltiness in this brew “Gose” so well with the touch of sweetness the delectable berries bring to the bottle!”
According to Erway, 22-ounce bottles of Strawberry Gose ($8) will be released May 20 at the brewery.
