Tomorrow, La Cumbre Brewing will be releasing its fifth anniversary ale, Ryeot On Rye.
Ryeot On Rye is a strong red rye ale aged in rye whiskey barrels from Taos Lightning and KGB Spirits with an ABV of 11.5 percent and 60 IBUs. The base beer for this is the same as La Cumbre’s Red Ryeot, although this version was not dry-hopped. According to tap room manager Jenn Bullock “it has a strong rye and whiskey character.”

It will be released on Saturday in La Cumbre’s Albuquerque, N.M. tap room for its fifth anniversary party. There will be limited amounts of 22-ounce bottles in Albuquerque. The beer will also go on draft in Albuquerque and Santa Fe starting early next week.
