Dexter, Mich.-based Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales recently received TTB label approval for Rosie del Barrio.
Rosie del Barrio, which roughly translates to Rosie in the hood, is a sour red ale with an ABV of 8.2 percent.
It was specially brewed for the Rare Beer Club, which operates through beermonthclub.com. The beer and its name are both in honor of Rosie the cat, who passed away at the age of 19 last October. Rosie’s owner, Kris Calef, is the founder of beermonthclub.com.
Rosie del Barrio will be packaged in 750ml bottles and will only be available through the Rare Beer Club.
