The seasons are changing, and that means another seasonal release from Jester King Brewery is on the way.
The beer in question is 2017 Autumnal Dichotomous, a 5.3 percent ABV farmhouse ale brewed with pumpkin, pumpkin seeds, wood sorrel, horehound and fig leaves. According to a label filed with the xxx, the Austin-based brewery added grilled pumpkins to the mash, while the wood sorrel, horehound and fig leaves were foraged from around the brewery and added to the boil.
This is the third Autumnal Dichotomous blend to be released: the first batch was released in 2015 and was brewed with butternut squash, acorn squash, long pepper and dried sage, while 2015 Autumnal Dichotomous was sold in 2016 and was brewed with Texas Satsuma mandarin oranges and cinnamon.
As with the rest of the Dichotomous releases, 2017 Autumnal Dichotomous will be packaged in 750ml bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
