A brand new beer from Jester King Brewery combines a base stout with an ingredient from an entirely different popular creation.
Black Atrial is a 7 percent ABV imperial stout refermented on raspberries at a rate of six pounds per gallon. As the name implies, the new release uses the Austin-based brewery’s Black Metal imperial stout as its base, while the raspberries the finished beer was conditioned on were sourced from the same farm in Washington that has grown the raspberries for Jester King’s Atrial Rubicite barrel-aged sour ale.
According to a post on Jester King’s website, Black Atrial is packaged in 750ml bottles ($35) and will feature a one bottle per person purchase limit when they go on sale at this website at noon CST on Sept. 16. Proxies are allowed for this release and there are 800 bottles available for purchase.
